Completion Time
Factors such as the size of the project and the amount of work involved greatly influence the time a project takes to complete. However, our experienced specialists will give you an accurate estimate once your loft has been surveyed. As an estimate, the average completion date is usually around 6-8 weeks, however, a Dormer loft conversion will take slightly longer to complete than a Velux™ loft conversion.

Truss Rafter Lofts
Monarch are happy to undertake projects on loft with truss rafters.

Pricing
Again, the price of your loft conversion is greatly influenced by many different factors such as the size of the conversion and each clients individual needs. As an estimate, a Dormer conversion starts at around £24,000 and a Velux conversion starts at around £16,000.

Planning Permission
Monarch prefer to undertake work that has already been planning permission approved, however we do make exceptions to this.

Disposal of Waste
All waste materials are disposed of with a skip. The costing for this is included in your quote.

Loft Height
The minimum height a loft must be to be converted is 8 feet.

Loft Water Tank
Monarch can provide skilled and qualified plumbers to carry out this task. We will happily advise you on the issue.

Building Plans
You will require planning permission if the intention of your loft conversion is for habitable accomodation. It will need to be planned by a professional to ensure it meets building regulations.

Can All Lofts Be Converted
Unfortunatly, not all lofts can be converted. This may be because of their size, or due to structural constraints. As previously mentioned, your loft must be over 8 feet in height.

Timber Framed Lofts
In most circumstances, Monarch can convert your loft if it is timber framed. Our inspector will advise you on this at time of inspection.
